I got myself into some business in Argentina and spent a few days around Buenos Aires.
Finally visiting South America even if just for a few days. With good advice from friends and colleagues, I had a great time eating and touring to some extent.
Here are a few ideas to tour around the city and have a great time enjoying some of the best restaurants in town.
I started my week at a business meeting at Personal, one of Argentina`s mobile phone operators. This is the view from the building at Puerto Madero…
Back to the hotel to freshen up after a couple more meetings in the evening and make the most out of the day.
Next, we headed for a walk around Puerto Madero, this time as tourists. My colleague I was with said it reminded him of Hong Kong (where I’ve never been myself).

Fun fact, our departure flights were delayed for a national strike day. Of course, we took advantage of to go around a bit more around and enjoy this beautiful city…
Plaza Serrano, heart of Barrio de Palermo
When in Buenos Aires a trip to La Boca is mandatory, it is said to be home of the early Italian immigrants.
Its popular and colorful ambiance is a delight to go around as you walk through “El Caminito”, perhaps the most popular and touristy street with a few restaurants and shops.

Needless to say that this barrio is home to the second most successful Argentinean soccer team, Boca Juniors…

I strongly recommend to check out reviews to avoid being dragged into touristy expensive places.
El Gran Paraiso is just around the corner of El Caminito and it’s totally worth every single peso to enjoy having lunch in this typical and historical patio…
Another suggestion for a business lunch recommended by locals is Mirasol…
Another very fancy place (a bit more for tourists and business dinners) is Cabaña Las Lilas
As we were staying at Sofitel we had good dinner…
Bonus tip… across Sofitel you will find a place called “La Florerìa”, serving some of the best cocktails in town frequented mostly by locals…
