Metepec, weekend getaway close to CDMX

Metepec has the category of one of Pueblos Mágicos de México and it’s characterized by its colonial architecture, food, colors and folklore.

I had the excuse that my soccer team, Rayados, played against Toluca, so I took the chance to visit and stay at Metepec.

I found this town to be an excellent option for a night over away from the city. If you are looking for a couple of days off I suggest to check out Tepoztlán.

At the arrival first thing I came across was (of course) a Christian procession…
